Hello, I am using prep but ran out of pills. I have an apointment with my prep doctor on Monday but I had unsafe sex on Wednesday and an undetectable friend gave me some of his pills (tenofovir + emtricibine + other molecules) to take in the meantime. Is that safe? Many thanks

Even though PrEP shares some molecules with somes HIV treatments, it is not the same and should not be taken instead of PrEP.
In future cases, you can always call your PrEP follow-up centres so they can find a solution for you.
As a reminder, if you take PrEP on demand, you should take 2 pills at least 2 hours before the intercourse and then 24h and 48h after the first two pills.
For example : Wednesday, 2 pills at 6:00 pm, sex at 8pm, Thursday 1 pill at 6pm and then Friday 1 pill at 6pm and would be protected from HIV.
