Your questions, our answers

Yesterday, I went to Pride. I met a friend of mine who identifies as a human "pup". He is a nice guy, but he was really into the role, and he bit me twice. I was giving him a hug when he bit my neck, and it really hurt. Then we grabbed my arm and bit it. I complained, and he stopped. But when I looked into my arm, there was a mark of his teeth and also a bit of blood a around it. I don't know if this is his or my blood. Despite the marks of his teeth, my skin wasn't punctured or broken, at least to the naked eye.

I don't know his HIV status, but I am freaking out. I don't know if this can be considered an exposure to HIV. I don't even know where I can get PEP in Belgium.

Please, help.
Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There is no risk for HIV or any STIs in the situation you describe.

If you ever need to go for PEP (because of unprotected anal and/or vaginal sex), you can go to urgencies as soon as possible and within 72 hours and ask for it. The treatment in itself is for free.
You can find a list for urgencies you can go to here : https://www.exaequo.be/en/hauptnavigation/emergency-useful-contacts/notfall-kontakte#emergency_types=85530&region=all
